Going on our first RCI feb 23 looking forward to it any help would be nice, pointers

Hi riverboy

 

We had our first RCI cruise on Monarch of the Seas last November and we had a wonderful time.

The ship was in excellent condition for her age and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

 

Our only disappointment was that we were unable to land at Cocoa Cay.

gail What was all the pineapples for on the table? Did you guys eat in the main dinning? alot of people on here seem to eat in the windjammer

The pineaples were some sort of cocktail. You could choose whether to have the drink in a glass or a pineapple. I don't know what the cocktail was. I did overhear a passenger saying that she did an experiment to see which held the most drink and the pineapple won!

 

The mountains of food in a couple of the pictures where a late night buffet we came across in the pool area. The trouble was, we were on late dinner and didn't want to eat another thing.

 

We had our breakfast on our balcony every morning via room service, lunch in the Windjammer and we ate in Claude's main dining room every night. The food was fantastic and the service was good.

 

The Windjammer was good and we found that it was easier to get a seat with a nice view upstairs.
