alylee777 Posted November 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2004 OKAY veteran cruisers. Cabin right by the elevator?? Too Noisy or Who cares? A:D :D
Happy ks Posted November 21, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2004 But never right next to one. We have never had a problem with noise. The good part is you don't have far to walk to your cabin, I get lost easily. The bad part is you have a little more foot traffic passing your door, not really a big deal for us. vijoge Posted November 22, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 22, 2004 On our first cruise we had a cabin right next to the elevator. Very convenient and we never noticed any noise.
serene56 Posted November 22, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2004 We also had the cabin right outside the elevators--very convenient. We heard nothing- the only time you hear the ding is when you are standing in the elevator area.
cali-croozer Posted November 22, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 22, 2004 My parents were right near the stairs and elevators and were a little concerned.....no noise problems. And, as others have said, convenient.
alylee777 Posted November 23, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted November 23, 2004 Thanks all. The cabin we have on hold is 8 away from the elevators mid ship so I think it will be great!! A:D
aggieastrosfan Posted November 27, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2004 You should be fine. We had an inside cabin right behind the elevators on the Holiday (we shared a wall), and that thing "dinged" all night. Thank goodness it was only for 4 days!
