Middle name on reservation

Recommended Posts

I agree with dmndlil.:

I had an issue with my cruise credits being accurate. Some had my middle name and some did not. RCCL rep said to NOT use your middle name as it is not necessary.

Do not use your middle initial on your Documents. My passport does not match other things I carry, so I leave it blank on the RCCL website when filling in my Set Sail Pass information.

I also never use it on airline tickets, etc.

There is really no need to. First and last name is all that is needed.

I am a TA and this come up often and I learned my lesson once with a client that insisted her name was a certain way on her passport and was not. She was denied boarding.

If you middle name is seperate from your 1st you do not need to include it as everyone has said:

John Michael Doe

If you middle name is hyphenated (which essentially means it is part of your 1st name) then it needs to be on your cruise docs:

John-Michael Doe

If you middle name is connected (which again essentially means it is part of your 1st name) then it needs to be on your cruise docs as well:

JohnMichael Doe

It gets complicated sometimes but be careful
