EssexGary Posted February 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Hi, we're on Celebrity Equinox in Jan 10 - but are going to southampton in August this year to see her when she is in dock. Any suggestions where the best place to sit and watch her will be? a park or something? so we can take a pic-nic and wish away the months before our sailing! Thanks! Any suggestions where the best place to sit and watch her will be? a park or something? so we can take a pic-nic and wish away the months before our sailing! Thanks! Hello, my preferred places are the Blue Funnel Harbour Cruises: http://www.bluefunnel.co.uk/ Most of these pictures were taken from the harbour cruise: http://heinbloed-qv.blogspot.com/2008/01/endlich-bord.html Then of course Hythe which is opposite for QE2-Terminal and all leaving and arriving ships: see here: http://heinbloed-cruiseblogs.blogspot.com/2008/09/13-queen-elizabeth-2.html Subject your ship you like to see berth at QE2 you can also use the Hythe Ferry: http://www.hytheferry.co.uk/ But Carnival and their brands will move most of the operation from QE2-Terminal to their own new Terminal this year. So a lot of ships are not so easy anymore to discover. If your ship stay at City Center Terminal, you may also take pictures from the Mayflower Park in the City: http://heinbloed-qv.blogspot.com/2008/01/wir-melden-uns-aus-southampton-mit.html Regards, HeinBloed
