yogibeanie Posted February 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2009 For those wondering, I was before my cruise, the SOTS does go by the Pitans before leaving St. Lucia. If your tour didn't go there, you will be able to get pictures when the ship cruises by.
Pepperwood Posted February 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2009 On the Jan 10/09 cruise, after Serenade left the St. Lucia dock at 5:00 p.m., she cruised down the coast of St. Lucia on the way to Barbados, and we could see the Pitons in the distance. However, the light was failing (sunset was at 5:55), and the scenery was shrouded in darkness shortly thereafter (dusk is short in the tropics). Sunset is now about 6:10 p.m., so the Pitons should be visible for a bit longer, but still will be lost in darkness by the time the first course is served at the early seating. NaClH20 Posted February 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2009 When the Serenade was there on February 4th, the ship went south out of Castries and provided a great view of the Pitons. The crew said they had also done this on the previous cruise
