golfnwench Posted February 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2009 Can anyone advise the starting date for Destination Dockyard? I see 2008's events commenced May 12. Thank you
RareBird Posted March 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2009 probably same time. We're going on RCI to Bermuda, first cruise of the season, leaving May 12th. I'm thinking that's when they'll start up again. :)

greatdanemom Posted May 3, 2009 #10 Share Posted May 3, 2009 RCCL Grandeur just left from Norfolk yesterday headed to Bermuda. We'll have to watch for their comments to see if they have Destination Dockyard tomorrow night when they've docked. Looking at the link posted by fridaythe13th there may be nothing until 6/10. So how was it with two ships in port there? Did you notice any significant difference? Crowding in port? Crowded transportation? From your sig, you have lots of trips to compare! :) Theron
RareBird Posted May 15, 2009 #14 Share Posted May 15, 2009 So how was it with two ships in port there? Did you notice any significant difference? Crowding in port? Crowded transportation? From your sig, you have lots of trips to compare! :) Theron as you can tell, we LOVE Bermuda :) I loved having a 2nd ship there, it was much happier and not crowded at all. Ferries to Hamilton are huge ships and always fit everyone who wants to go. King's Wharf has a shuttle running between both ships and all the destinations like the museum, snorkel beach, glassworks, etc - very convenient. Shuttle was busy last day, otherwise, it always had seats.
leekel619 Posted May 15, 2009 #15 Share Posted May 15, 2009 We just got back from Dockyard on the Spirit, first Boston to Bermuda cruise of the season (May 1) and the new wharf is beautiful! Spirit is the first to dock there. The ferry comes right to the ship and the shuttle train runs 20 minute cycles all day long. NCL contributed to the cost to have Heritage Wharf built. It wasn't crowded at all when the second ship came in while we were there. We LOVE Bermuda and go back every year and this was our first time having Dockyard as our port. Spirit will be docking there every week for the entire season on the new Friday to Friday cruises out of Boston. The Dawn comes in the morning we leave. Yeah...we didn't get to see Destination Dockyard, not started yet...we were hoping, but it was too early in the season.
