Summit - Ordering from the Main Dining Room

We are soon approaching our first cruise on X. I've seen a couple of posts which mention ordering room service from the main dining room. Is this available for all meals? How does it work?

Dinner only. Tell your room steward some time during the day what time. Spur of the moment is ok. THey just prefer to know ahead of time so they can plan time management. They have a lot to do while we're at dinner. They give you the menu and you write down what you want and come back for it. At least that is my experience.
