We just stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel and Resort - very nice hotel. They also own the Bahia Mar and have free shuttles all day back and forth from both hotels which was nice. Bahia Mar is almost right on the beach as the Grande is not. So we would just hop the shuttle in the morning and stay at the beach all day then go back to the Bahia Mar to pick up the shuttle to go back to the Grande.

On our cruise next Feb, we are just going to book at the Bahia Mar so we won't have to do the shuttle and see how we like that hotel.

Sorry I am having a brain cramp and can't remember where to look

to find hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area for my pre-cruise night.

Thanks for any help!

You can get even more information on Hotels and Ft. Lauderdale sights, restaurants etc. if you go to the East coast departures forum and then Florida.

We love the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. Wake up and see the cruise ships from your balcony....it's awesome! Close to Total Wine and More & places to eat.

easyclicktravel.com is a great resource :)

Sounds wonderful, but that place is almost $300 a night! Do you us Priceline or the like to book it? Too rich for my blood, especially for one night before a cruise. :o

Hi,

We have booked the Econo Lodge at 1725 Taft St., Hollywood (954) 920-3001. They have an airport and cruise port shuttle and a breakfast. The rate is about $80 - $100. depending on the night. I did notice them at roomsaver.com but don't know if they accept advance reservations thru that service.

We just got back from our cruise and stayed sunday evening at Springhill suites at Dania Beach. When we checked in they asked if we needed the shuttle to the Ft Lauderdale airport and put down our name for 8am. The shuttle was on time and it only took a few minutes to get there. The hotel was very nice. We had no problems. The pool was very nice and spent the afternoon relaxing there.

Renaissance Hotel at 17th Street Quay is 5 minutes from the port. You can request a room with view of the port. Priceline.com select Downtown area.

Have also stayed at LaQuinta/Hollywood. You can park your car there with no charge and they have a shuttle to the port.

Thanks for the info also. Do you know how far the airport is to the hotel and cruise port? I just got a great rate for the night of the 17th of April for only $99/w tax for 2A/2C! Thanks again, Li from Mass.
