Jewels of the Sea

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the Jewels of the Sea. I am trying to book our next cruise for next year. Would like to do the Eastern Caribbean again and this ship does a 8 night out of Ft. Lauderdale. Thought that would be great to get an extra night(seeing as I am now in Post Cruise Depression) However, I was told that after the larger ships (Mariner of the Seas) that this one would be a disappointment. Thanks for your help, I am so confused!

No disappointment with the Radiance class ships after the Voyager class here. I like the size of the Radiance and the class and character of the ship. You won't find any reviews just yet of the Jewel as she was just turned over to RCI last week.

The main difference between the 2 is the Radiance doesn't have Johnny Rockets, the Royal Promenade or an ice skating rink. Radiance does have the Seaview cafe that I felt was better then Johnny Rockets. Yes it's smaller but you'll never feel crowded.

Don't think you can go wrong with any of the Radiance class ships. In a few weeks you'll start to see reviews on her. I'll be sailing her at Christmas and can't wait.
