Delbonias Cruiser Posted February 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2009 We are going to be cruising this May, heading out of San Juan and visiting several ports... St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Dominica, etc, etc... We love hitting up the beach and so we are planning on taking the ferry to Trunk Bay in St. John. Can someone give us a list of the best beaches to visit... not crowded, preferably! Also, on our last cruise we rented scooters and toured some of Mexico. Are there options like this on the various islands? Cost? Thanks, this is a great website!
bracy Posted March 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2009 If you want uncrowded then pick one of the other beaches on st. johns. Trunk Bay is by far the most crowded because it is where all of the cruise ship excursions go to. Our favorite is Cinnamon Bay but other spots have great reviews also. It takes 2 hrs to get there from the time you step off the ship to when you put down your towel, but it's a nice ferry ride and open air taxi ride on st. Johns. I think it cost the 2 of us $50 to get there and back. This website and usvi.net helped us figure out cost. Enjoy your trip :)
