Snorkeling in Curacao?

Read the thread about Curacao Actief. The Tugboat is close to the beach. However, the beach is a long ride from the port. In some places it is like driving off road. The beach is also not a sandy beach. It is a pebble beach and hard on tender feet. Once you are past the beach, the snorkeling is super! We highly recommend Curacao Actief! We originally thought it would be from a boat but they take you in a van. You get a land tour as well as some great snorkeling.

There are many good snorkeling beaches in Curacao- such as Playa Porto Mari. Yes, a guide is a good idea, because many of the beaches are a distance from the docks. With a guide, you can go to a few beaches, have a tour, and get back to the ship without having to call a taxi.
