peg3632 Posted March 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2009 I'm leaving 3/8, which is daylight savings time, what changes will that make?
yst347 Posted March 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2009 It will depend on your itinerary. Many islands do not observe daylight saving time at all. Only the United States changes time in early March. Other nations such as Mexico will not move their clocks ahead for another month.
TheVegasMan Posted March 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2009 It will not effect your cruise at all. It may affect it, depending upon where you're travelling. Make sure you get up at exactly 2:00 am to change your clock to 3:00 am.
Never Fail 2 Sail Posted March 3, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Vegas Man- get up at 2 a.m.? Who is already asleep at 2 a.m. on a cruise? :D It should read-"Go back to your cabin at 2 a.m. and change your clocks."
yst347 Posted March 3, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Los Angeles is in the Pacific time zone, UTC -8 When daylight saving time takes effect on March 8, Los Angeles will move clocks ahead one hour to UTC -7 Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan are in the Mountain time zone, UTC -7 They will not change clocks until April. Puerto Vallarta is in the Central time zone UTC -6 and will not change time until April. So, it looks like your port stops will be on the same time as Los Angeles, with the exception of Puerto Vallarta which will be one hour ahead. I doubt the ship will change shiptime for just the one stop but anything is possible.
KroozFoolz Posted March 4, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2009 I'm leaving 3/8, which is daylight savings time, what changes will that make? You get to leave on your cruise an hour sooner than you would have if daylight savings time was not starting this weekend.:)
