Carnival excursion to Sting Rays, Hell and Turtle Farm

Last cruise we did it. It was quite interesting! The stop in Hell is kind of short, but once you see it, you're ready to leave. The turtle farm is fun, being you can hold one in your hands. And of course, the sting ray part is really worth it, if your not afraid of the critters. There's nothing like kissing one on the nose (really!), or having one draped over your head. But, then comes the hook! When you get done dealing with the rays, the operators will gladly sell pictures of your experience, on CD, for a "nominal" fee. So, be prepared to fork over some cash for those "once in a life time" pics. Of course, you don't have to buy them. And, be sure to bring a waterproof camera. (even the disposable ones will serve the purpose!)

Hope this helps!

We were so rushed!

We got a late start because there were not enough drivers and buses to accomodate all of the guests.

Hell is really just a convenience store in front of a rock formation. They sell $40 tee shirts with all sayings about Hell...been there...done that.

The Turtle Farm is very interesting. I loved picking up and calming the turtles by scratching them under their chins.

Stingrays were OK...but because of our late start, all of the rays were full and tired of being handled so we did not get much interaction with them.

We discovered for a more relaxing day, we sign up for the Boatswain's shore excursion. It gives you full access to the Turtle farm's salt water lagoon and pool. The kids love to snorkel and look at the lizards, birds and sharks. There is a beach on the lagoon side as well.

This shore excursion ends in the early afternoon so you can grab a taxi and go to Hell if you like.

But the three stops in one day was too tiring.

Plus, because you have to tender to return to the ship, the lines at the end of the day are really long!
