What cabin when booking oceanview GTY?

I am considering booking the 3/20/05 Valor in an oceanview guarantee cabin. I am curious what types of cabins people have received when booking this level. Have you ended up on a decent deck? Ever get upgraded to a balcony? Thanks in advance for your input.

Lots of different things COULD happen. You should always book the lowest category that you will be happy with if you don't get upgraded.

We had booked a guarantee OV & have been upgraded to a balcony on the "Upper Deck". :p

we got an awesome upgrade on our last cruise on the Spirit!We booked a guaranteed Outside cabin and went TBA( on the tags) we got upgraded to a balcony and two deck up(upper deck). Now we are so spoiled we went and booked our cruise to mexican reviera on a guaranteed balcony and the women at Carnival put us into Past guest special for grade.We now have a 8G with a extended balcony for the same price we would have paid for a regular balcony. Nice!

I booked an oceanview guarantee on the Triumph last year and was upgraded to a balcony on the Verandah deck.
