mays3 Posted March 9, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2009 Does anyone know if the Holiday made it out of dry dock for todays sailing? We are sailing on Saturday.
Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2009 My daughter boarded the ship today. Since it had been in dry dock they didn't have to get the rooms ready so they were able to go straight to their room. She was surprised that the room was as big as other Carnival ships.:o
venusjems Posted March 9, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 9, 2009 i seen it at the dock as opposed to over at the shipyard around 2pm today... so hopefully all propulsion problems or whatever she had, got fixed and will be smooth sailing for you in a week! Cool Breeze Cruiser Posted March 11, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 11, 2009 My daughter is on the Holiday now & just called from Cozumel. Apparently there are still problems because she said they were an hour late getting to Cozumel due to mecanical difficulties & are travelling slower. I am getting a little worried now... Mays, what are you worried about? I mean that not as an ugly statement (since it is hard to know inflection in printed word), but genuinely wonder what you are worried about. If it is still messed up it is not going to change whether you have a great cruise, that is in your hands. If you have an independent tour booked and are late getting into port, I've found that they will wait for you (what else do they have to do since the ship isn't there). There is nothing to "worry" about, really. I hope you can relax and have a great cruise.
mays3 Posted March 12, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Glad to hear that...We do have an independent tour booked and I did not know how that would work. It is the first time I did not book it with Carnival. :)

It is the first time I did not book it with Carnival. :) You'll be fine. I've never had an independent tour leave me stranded when an entire ship was late. Now, I've had one leave me because the folks on the ship told me the port was on ship time--wrong!! They were an hour ahead so we missed the tour. Simply caught the next one, but aggravating, nonetheless. Have a ball!! I know you will!
