Cancelling Hotel In Rome

Recommended Posts

I had made a booking at a hotel in Rome. I was asked for credit card details to reserve the room. The cancellation policy is up to 48hrs ahead. I am a month away.

Now, unfortunately, I am unable to go. I have emailed the hotel and have not received a response to my cancellation.

I am concerned if my credit details can be used to charge me for a room I don't stay in.

Help!

Contact your credit card customer service, there may be a telephone number on your card, or the issuing bank and inform them and they will stop any charge.

Hotels in Italy are either super efficient with their email replies or very casual. It can sometimes take days to receive a reply. If you have a booking number for your reservation always quote that and certainly keep emailing them for your own peace of mind.
