Hello Everyone,

My family are taking our 1st cruise ever on the Conquest Mar. 22nd. We would like to do some type of water/beach excurision in Jamaica but don't want an 75min or longer drive to get there. Does anyone know how long of a drive it is from the pier in Montego Bay to the Beaches Family All Inclusive? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thank you

I have been to Negril and it's at least an hour from Montego Bay. I love Negril! A quick google search says 90 minutes from the airport, not sure how far the cruise port is from the airport.

The drive between the two is between 1 1/2 to 2 hours (depending on traffic conditions). I've been on that ride at least 3 times. Beaches Negril is nice, but depending on how long you're in port, it may not be worth spending at least 3 hours in transit.

Plan on at least a 2 hour drive. While the distance isn't great, the road is narrow and full of curves and is not in the best shape in some areas.

Sunset beach resort. 5-10 minutes from the pier and they do day visit all-inclusives.

Lots of stuff to do, water slides, 3 or 4 pools. Just don't let any kiddies wander to far down the beach (topless/nude area).

definitely a good 90-120 minute ride, just stayed a riu negril 2-2-09 thru 2-9-09 and ours was the first drop off and we were an hour and 45 minutes with a 15 minute bar-retroom break. And yes it does depend on road conditions and road work, which there is some of. I would find something closer rather then being on a transfer between 3-4 hours.

If your looking for all inclusive day at the beach try sandals montego bay and there is another Sandals there but can't remember name. Not the Sandals in but there is two thers close by (10min ride) they may allow guests for a fee. I have been to all three when we stayed there last year for a week. Nice accomodations, beaches and food.
