From Brilliance in April it didn't cost much to e-mail home. However, just watch your seapass. We were charged for times that I didn't get a connection to AOL. Just hanging out... with that hourglass... waiting for a connection... I got charged. They took it off at the pursers desk when I complained about it!!! Just keep track. If you have a laptop, it is less expensive to do the in-room internet access... If you plan to e-mail home alot. We used it alot. Unfortunately. But, we bank etc on-line and had 2 weeks of paychecks to deal with and money to transfer while we were away!!!! The connection was also hit or miss.

Don't know about the ports. Didn't try it. Just used the ships internet cafe!!!

50 cents per minute for e-mail.

50 cents a minute and their connection is slow. I send one very short email and it cost $3.50 You're on the clock as soon as you logon. It's not like you can type it ahead of time and paste it in and send it.
