librahi Posted March 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2009 My wife and I are looking to cruise in northern Europe in June or July and have heard many mixed reviews of which lines offer the best options for vegan meals. I am 6'1" and weight 170 pounds, but I eat like I weight 300 pounds, always have (even before becoming vegan 4 years ago). Anyway, I need options and not just salad, potatoes, fruit, pasta.... Anyone that can help, it would be very appreciated! Does Princess offer good options or take care of vegans?

In your My Princess, go to your Profile and under Dietary Requirements, select Vegetarian. I know this isn't the same as Vegan but that option isn't listed. Once you board the ship, go to the Maitre D and let them know you are vegan. He will arrange to have menus brought to you and you can request dishes prepared specially for you. They will modify any dish, give you something from a previous night's menu or from a future menu. You can do the same for luncheon menus in the dining room; otherwise, your options are in the buffet. Several years ago, we had a couple of very strict vegans at our table for dinner and not only were they more than satisfied with the options and assistance, they loved the buffet just as much as the dining room.
