Transportation from IAH back to Galveston area

We live in Friendswood and will be dropped off in Galveston April 19 but as we get into IAH after 8 pm May 3, there are no ground transportation options other than expensive taxi. Galveston Limo does not run Sundays after 6 pm and I am not aware of other door-to-door carriers. Can anyone suggest one?

I may look into a rental car if I can get a good one-way deal.
