stateroom 2047

Recommended Posts

I got 2047 assigned for my upcoming cruise on the wonder.

Now I have read that this room is in the noisy zone and should be avoided if possible.

Does any one have experience with this stateroom.

Is it really that noisy or is it bearable ?

Thanks

I looked for a room report on your room and couldnt find one. I did find for the room next door and it said no extra noise in their room.

If thats true, your room shouldnt be that much different being right next door.

Hopefully someone who has actually stayed in that room will post.

Hi! We stayed in this room in Jan 2009. The room had some noise late at night - after midnight from the bars. It was only really noticeable on Thursday night of the 7 night cruise when they were doing line dancing. But to be honest, I wouldn't have changed rooms and I am a light sleeper.

One thing that was nice is that it is far enough from the elevator that there was little public traffic, but close enough that you didn't feel like you had to walk forever. Our room attendant was Panya - by far the best and most service oriented staff member on the ship. If you have him, you will adore his work ethic and attention to detail!

Asney, thanks very much for the information.

Rooms in the area where this stateroom 2047 is located is often remarked as noisy due to the bar located just above it. It also seems to appear in the Passporter book as a noisy room.

Anyway, I will just go there with an open mind and see how things go.

As you said, the location should be good enough to make it up.

However, I am just wondering why Disney assigns a rooom that seems to be less desirable while there are sufficient other rooms available.

If I look at the bookings you can still book cat 8, cat 9, cat10, cat11 etc.

Given that this 2047 is a cat 10, I assume they still have other cat 10 rooms available because they still take bookings for a cat 10.

In my opinion, (or if I were the person/system assigning rooms) then it's better to keep least desirable rooms as last to give out. But obviously, Disney is using another logic.
