We have booked a private tour in Belize and want to get off the ship ASAP, I know people who book tours with the ship get off first, any tips for getting early tickets, we are not gold latitude members or in a balcony/suite.

make friends with those staying in the suites and penthouses. heheheheh

On our roll call we have several families staying in suites, and I'm planning to ask but don't want to offend anyone (would you be offended if someone asked this of you?) so I'm looking for other options first.

Thanks

well i wouldn't be like "hi, i'm zonehph...can you hook me up with your VIP tender passes"

i'm sure a little schmoozing will help. if you can work a little magic...i'm sure the shore excursion desk might help...

Process will be tough. NCL tour ticket holders will be off first. Suite and Villa passsengers can always obtain. I know of some sneaky ways to become part of the line but you may be risking a bit of passenger ire with these efforts. Especially from someone who has to wait for a next tender because you are on. As I tell my kids- let your conscience be your guide.

Having been in a couple of suites on NCL I can tell you this much. The concierge knew us by name and sight on the second day. The tickets were delivered to the cabin or given to us personally by the concierge. So unless someone in a suite does not plan on going ashore the coveted tickets will be hard to come by. Another note, a perk of suites is also priority disembarkment. One cruise we had a family emergency and was granted permission to disembark with the suite guests as was a couple of other people and some of the Suite guests were not happy and made no attempts to hide their feelings. At the time I could not understand their reaction until I paid the same fair for those luxuries.

Hi - you may need to contact the tour operator and find out what's the earliest you need to be off. One member of your cabin will need to pick-up tender tix and I would suggest they be standing in line when the tix will be distributed. In all honesty I'm not sure how I'd feel about someone asking for our priority tender tix (we stay in suites) - that's a tough one.

I hope you can figure this one out but my first e-mail would be to the tour operator (if it's a private tour just for the 2 of you it's a non-issue, they wait for YOU).

If I were in a suite and didn't need the tender tickets I would gladly give them up. I also would not be offended if someone asked.....why would anybody be offended by this question? To the O.P. just nicely ask your question on roll call and explain why you need the tickets:D. Have a great vacation.

I've only done one NCL cruise (Spirit), and we were in a suite.

We never received a physical ticket for priority tender/disembarkation at any port. Our concierge merely left us a note in our suite the night before and told us to meet him at a particular place on the ship at an appointed time and he escorted us off before anyone else was allowed to go.

Don't know if this is the case with all NCL ships, but this was my experience.

When I stayed in a suite on the Pearl in February, I simply asked the concierge to get me 5 extra tender tickets for my friends. She happily did and I gave them to my friends, which she knew I was doing. There was absolutely no problem.

On the other hand though I was sitting outside of LeBistro when they were handing out the tender tickets and there were no lines. It is a very fast procedure to get them.

Good luck.

Most people want to get off the ship ASAP and that is why it is one of the perks offered by NCL. The concierge does become familiar with the suite passengers, knows who is who and makes arrangements with them. There is the option to cancel the tour you booked yourself and book your excursion through NCL, it may be a few bucks more but has always been worth it to me ... just to get out of the dilemma that you have put yourself in would make it worth it.

We had a 9:45 tender time and were on it well ahead of time (we were able to board at 9:30) and we sat waiting for the tender to fill up. There was a very irate man and his wife who had been sitting on the same tender and they had an 9:15 private excursion booked, he was yelling and cussing and was really mad because he was going to miss his excursion and he fully expected the tender to bring over a boat with less than 20 people on it.

The tender operator and a man from NCL keep telling him to calm down and he would get to the port and that ALL NCL tour operators are contacted if a tender is running behind and he kept saying "it's a private excursion" he really got mad when a fellow passenger qiped "well, maybe you should have booked with the ship"

So even though you may be able to get on the tender early, you may have to wait for it to fill up.

Our tour operator will wait as long as needed, (it's just the 4 of us) the sooner we get off the ship the more we will be able to see and do. We've used this company twice before so I'm very confident. I think I'll post my request on the roll call and if anyone can help great, if not I will wait patiently for my tender, I'll be on vacation so it's all good:).

Its been my experience the independent tour operators will wait for the first or second ticket boats knowing fully that the first boats are for the NCL booked tours. A lot of people grieve over nothing. The independent tour operators know which boats have come in and which haven't.
