Driving over the bridge from Downtown Miami toward the Port and seeing Explorer parked at the terminal, I almost got into a car accident! :eek: :D

Our first cruise was on the Sovereign of the Seas.1989...it was the biggest and the best for the time.We pulled up in a bus from the hotel and my first reaction was Holy S.....I could not believe the size.Then we got on and the first thing I saw was the carpeting that had the Crown & Anchor insignia on it.That is what I remember.It is like your first love...you will never forget it

The size, of course!:p I'm trying to talk the hubby into Freedom of the Seas for '06. I can't wait to see what my first impression of that will be after having only sailed on much smaller ships.:)

 

I also thought it was the coolest thing ever the first time I ever saw one turn around on a single pivot point and back into the pier. How cool are side thrusters!!:D

I was blown away the first time I drove to LA and saw the Viking Serenade.

A couple of years later, in Miami, I set foot on the Voyager and the size of the

ship was just mind boggling.:eek:

Nothing like arriving at the terminal and seeing the enormity of the ship. Brought chills to me when I first laid eyes on her. I was so excited!! And soooooooo sad when driving away....
