emilyrose Posted April 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2009 the form above is for thier 48 hour price guarantee, which is different. You can request a price adjustment at any time. If you haven't paid in full, it will come off your balance owed, if you have and it's past final payment, you'll get onboard credit. i don't know what happens if you've paid in full before final payment due date? I have seen it drop 3 times so far and have gotten it each and every time... also this includes upgrades from a lower category to the one you booked
wojo385a Posted April 7, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2009 We cruise in 3 weeks. Had made the final payment and saw that the price was less for a resident rate than we had paid for early saver. Filled out the form on thier website...it does take some searching to find...and sent last Friday. Got an email back today stating they approved and now have OBC. You have to be certain that everything about your cruise is the same for the rate you refer to such as 4E vs 4E.

gacat93 Posted April 7, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Taramick...we'll be sailing on the 9/5 Glory as well. I've been watching (though I'm sure its really too early) and hoping for some price drops. Was shocked this morning to actually see increases! Ugh! UpstateCruizer Posted April 7, 2009 #9 Share Posted April 7, 2009 But the form says "Early Saver". What am I missing here? Nothing that is in fact the correct form :) If you booked directly with Carnival you can fill it out yourself but for those booked with a TA you have to contact your TA and have them complete the form for you. We paid the resident rate of 979 per person in full on the day we booked. this morning the price dropped to 929. I called and was told that they could upgrade me to a higher deck (we are already on the lido and we picked our stateroom and do not want to change it) but because we had already paid in full we wouldnt get any sort of OBC? Does anyone know why?? Should i call back and talk to someone else??

If you did not book the early saver, then they may have been correct in telling you what they did.
nylori Posted April 7, 2009 #13 Share Posted April 7, 2009 We booked an early saver for end of August on the Fantasy. I think it was fri that the price went down a little. We booked not with carnival so i check the website every day that we booked through. I called and it took about 5 days for a email confirmation of $120 price decrease. I will keep checking for more!!:D
SeaMeSmile Posted April 8, 2009 #14 Share Posted April 8, 2009 form--- http://surv.cheetahmail.com/s?aid=982238741&o=1&n=321 Thank you for providing the link, caribsun! I just checked my Early Saver price for my November cruise ~ guess what, the price has dropped $60pp, woo hooo! :D ~ and have now submitted the form. Crikey, I sure wish I'd known about CC before my first cruise. This board is a goldmine of information. :)
emilyrose Posted April 8, 2009 #15 Share Posted April 8, 2009 I stand corrected :) I just had another price drop on our early saver rate and was directed to the form above by the Carnival "supervisor" that I was transferred to. I told her I'd gotten previous adjustments by calling and she said that is against thier policy. Go figure, I get the stickler on my 4th price drop call. I filled out the form and will report back. :)
KULPN Posted April 8, 2009 #16 Share Posted April 8, 2009 If your room category is sold out, how can you check?
poobears Posted April 8, 2009 #17 Share Posted April 8, 2009 I put my first price reduction request in night before last and it was credited this morning. Much faster than I expected even though they say 2 days I figured a week or more since I'm still waiting on OBC bought last month to credit. poobears Posted April 8, 2009 #18 Share Posted April 8, 2009 If your room category is sold out, how can you check? If your room category is no longer available you can't price match, there's nothing to match. The only thing you coudl do at that point is move up if a higher deck becomes the same price or cheaper. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's how it works.
