U2 on the Fascination

A friend has booked us on the Fascination in June 09. She booked cabin U2. Has anyone ever stayed up this close to the front? I have been on one cruise before and was more towards the back (sorry, aft). I did get kind of queazy at night (might have been the drinks though!). I am bringing meds to help. I just wanted to know more about this cabin.

I think that the anchor is located in about that area on some ships. Not sure about this ship though. If the captain drops the anchor early in the morning you might hear it if you are a light sleeper.

I stayed in a similar cabin on an NCL cruise and there was an employee service entrance right next to us. The employees (much like my current neighbors in my town-home) had no problems allowing the door to slam shut each and every time. You never know where those service entrances are going to be.

Hopefully none of what I have said will strike too much fear. I would highly recommend packing some ear plugs, no matter where you cabin is - just in case. Better to have them and not need them, as they say..

We did have the problems you mentioned. But we still had a great time.
