Kid Friendly Rome & Venice Hotels

Recommended Posts

We are planning on spending 3 days post cruise in Rome and 3 days in Venice with our 6 and 8 year-old children. Looking for a cheap, clean, safe, practical place as our base of operations. We are experienced travelers and do not want or need elaborate (and expensive) service or luxury amenities. We usually grab some food at the local grocery store and take it back to our hotel to eat; no need for a quality restaurant/bar at the hotel. Since we have kids we must have something that is very safe for a family. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

We spent 3 nights at the Corte Grimani last July with our 8 year old twins. It was really lovely. The service was warm and very child friendly. It is a small hotel situated on a canal in a quiet area, no more than 5 minutes from St Marks Square. We had lovely suite of adjoining rooms. The hotel won a Best Hidden Gem award with Trip Advisor and I am not surprised. It is certainly worth checking out.
