Belize Time?

I just want to make sure that I have this correct. Is Belize 2 hours behind Eastern Standard Time? They do not observe Daylight Savings Time? Where as Cozumel does? Is this correct?

Yes...we were on the Navigator of the Seas in late March and the ship was 2 hours ahead of local time in Belize and Cozumel. That should be changing sometime soon. I would advise booking excursions with the cruiseline because of this problem.

If I remember correctly, I read somewhere that as of 4/5, Belize observed DST and was again 1 hour behind EST. I know that when I cruised in January 08 it was only 1 hour difference, so I believe it's only 2 hours during the period between when the US observes DST and when the rest of the world does.

As far as I know right now Belize time is 2 hours behind EST and they did not observe the Day Light Savings Time like Cozumel did last weekend. I'm wondering if they even observe it?

Just a FYI for future reference. I spoke with a tour company in Belize and they do not observe Day Light Savings Time. So they are 2 hours behind EST Time.
