BURNS1 Posted December 3, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2004 The Jewel on 12/12 is the first I have heard of itinerary changes from GC since it reopened. How do you find out if more will be cancelled? I callled RCI and they were no help. We are scheduled to be in port with, I think, 6-7 other ships. This sounds like a nightmare tendering back and forth to the ships. Where can we fnd the answears?
cruzin2paradise Posted December 3, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2004 I was just in GC off the Voyager last week. There were 6 ships in port and there was no problem with the tenders. Relax. As for RCI and not giving information, I called the day before we left. The customer service rep basically said that the decision to go to GC or not was that of the captain. Good luck with whatever happens but don't sweat it.

We were supposed to go to GC and found out a few days ago that we're going to Key West instead.
hdawson Posted December 3, 2004 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2004 Grand Cayman is limiting the number of ships in port. They are still having to struggle to repair their infrastructure.
BURNS1 Posted December 3, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted December 3, 2004 How far out do they make the decision? There are 8 ships suppose to be there the day we are there. Last time we were there it was a long wait and I think there were 4-5 ships there.
