FL LuluBelle Posted April 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Has anyone been one the Inspiration lately? Opinions? Thinking about a short cruise in the very near future. Our Freedom cruise isn't until November ~ way to far away! Thanks, LU

beach410 Posted April 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2009 We sailed her on 3/19 and had a wonderful time. The food and the service seems to get better and better with each cruise we go on, not sure if its luck or what, but I have absolutely no complaints. We had dinner in the dining room each night, fabulous wait staff, breakfast at the lido all but one morning, had to squeeze in the eggs benedict from the DR and lunch at lido all week and I thought it was all good. Sushi was very good each time I had it. I liked the CD, didnt care for the piano bar, but everything else was just as we hoped for. I wouldnt hesitate sailing her again! I wouldnt hesitate sailing any of the Carnival vessels I have already been on. One day, I will get to go on a longer cruise with a larger ship, but, I have always been satisfied with the Fantasy class.
loveysbydesign Posted April 14, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Is there much difference between the Inspiration and the Imagination? We're trying to decide between the 2 of them for a future cruise.
*Mach* Posted April 14, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Is there much difference between the Inspiration and the Imagination? We're trying to decide between the 2 of them for a future cruise. The Imagination got the Evolutions of Fun upgrades several months after the Inspiration and I think they did a better job... I've not sailed the Imagination but I KNOW I'm fond of the crew and staff on the Inspiration. For my money... pick one! You won't be disappointed!!! :)
gtalum Posted April 14, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 14, 2009 The food on our 4-day cruise on Inspiration on March 19th was the best food we've ever had on a ship. Inspiration is in great shape and her crew runs a tight ship. :) Skip was also a pretty good cruise director.

LemurCat Posted April 14, 2009 #10 Share Posted April 14, 2009 I was on the Imagination last August and the Inspiration this February. They're both in great shape. If I were you, I'd make my decision based on the intinerary. You can't go wrong with either ship.

No, not a difference I noticed, besides the CD and the personnel, same ship, same layout, both had evolutions of fun upgrades, personally I like the food and wait staff better on the Inspiration, but we were on the Imagation over a year ago. I prefer to sail out of Tampa, because the drive is shorter and cruise terminal parking much easier, will avoid Miami until my only option for a desired itenerary is from there.
