I buy 2 of the drink cards from Carnival every week. Each card has 4 drinks on it for $21.00. I get charged $42 in case you all were wondering.lol I have now bought 16 drinks so far for my October cruise and plan on having my bar bill paid for before the cruise. Any left over will go towards the other cruises coming up. More money for the Casino for me.:D

Are these drink coupons or Drink of the Day Cards? There is a difference. I believe with the drink coupons you can order any drink. The DOD cards are only for drinks offered as drink of the day. We were told on our cruise 2 weeks ago the DOD cards were discontinued.:)

I purchased a few last week on the Imagination. It was 23 plus gratuity, and a great deal! It was good for any of the DOD's but the Miami Vice was not one of them. It was a punch card so all we had to do was bring the card up to the bar when we wanted a drink, not our sail and sign card, so my fiancee and I shared the cards! Have fun!

Oh and also the caper said DOD was $4.50 regular glass and $6.95 for the hurricane glass. So that would be $6.95 plus 4 at $4.50... so that is $24.95 plus add a 15% tip and it is $28.69. So it's not a huge discount... but definatly a little cheaper.

The card was not yet available on the Conquest - but your prices and math seem right to me.

If you like the DODs that are offered, it's a good deal. I tried them all and didn't really care for any of them. I would prefer to pay the few extra dollars and get my pina coladas.

I believe all ships offer the cards, but I only saw it posted at the pool bar.

Here's the recipe:

Goombay Smash

This is delicious!!!

3/4 fluid ounce bacardi spiced rum

1/2 fluid ounce bicardi light rum

1/4 fluid ounce apricot brandy

1/2 fluid ounce coconut cream

2 fluid ounces pineapple juice

Blend all ingredients together, pour over ice and garnish with pineapple slice

Cards were available for purchase at the bars only - not from servers on the deck or in the theater, although obviously they accepted them as payment.

A friend of ours received a 4 drink card as a gift from her daughter on our last cruise this past January and with it your drink comes in a Tom Collins glass, much smaller than the DOD glass and they wouldn't let me get a DOD with it I had to settle for a Gin and Grapefruit

The DOD cards are better if you ask me

It says right on the card that it is a 20% savings :)

I thought going thru my upcoming cruise stuff on line I saw where you could advance-order these cards? They are delivered to your cabin on the first day? Am I making stuff up or is that true?

Those are drink coupons which I think come in a set of four and each one includes one drink plus gratuity. Whenever we have gotten them they arrived during dinner in the dining room. The DOD card is purchased at the bar and your card is punched each time you use it. Our cruise in January we got both and I like the drink coupons better because it includes my mango daiquiris!!! YUM!

Does anyone know if they will refill the hurricane glass for cheaper than $6.95?
