More free places for 2010 from P&O Cruises

P&O Cruises is shifting further into mainstream tour operating territory for 2010 with increased numbers of free places and added value offers for early bookers.

 

A 2010 preview brochure, covering seven ships including new-build Azura, sees free adult and child places available on a selection of itineraries, discounts for early bookers, on board credit and free port car parking.

 

Recognising that more families and extended groups are opting to cruise, children

aged 16 and under can travel for free on 10 itineraries when sharing a cabin with two adults.

 

Infants aged two and under travel free on 40 itineraries on the same basis.

 

There are 22 itineraries with free places for two out of four adults sharing a cabin.

 

Early booking savings of up to £500 per person are available, along with free car parking on all departures from Southampton and on board credit of up to £200 per cabin, on bookings made by June 30.

 

Prices start at £599 per person for seven nights on family friendly ship Ventura in April next year.

 

Charter flights are offered from 15 regional airports for the line’s fly-cruises.

 

The preview brochure, which goes on sale on April 21, features 153 cruises between March 2010 and March 2011, covering 210 destinations.

 

New ports of call are Newcastle, Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides, Milford Haven and Belfast – featuring on one of two round Britain cruises; Oriana departing June 30 and Artemis on August 16, 2010.

 

Other new ports of call for next year are Trabzon in Turkey and Greencastle in Ireland.

 

An expanded Caribbean and Panama Canal season will see six ships sailing to these destinations and three vessels offering a fly-cruises.

 

There is an increase in Canada and New England voyages with two September sailings and the inaugural visit for Arcadia.

 

Managing director Nigel Esdale said: “No other cruise line has such a broad collection of cruises from the UK and with seven ships sailing from Southampton we are able to offer an unprecedented amount of choice, flexibility, value for money and ease of travel.”

 

He added: “For those who want to stay closer to home and explore the beauty of the UK, we have round Britain cruises.

 

"For those who want to explore further afield and experience different cultures, we have extended three or four week Eastern Mediterranean, Black Sea, Caribbean and USA and Canada and New England voyages.

 

“And for those who have yet to try cruising we have a range of short breaks of seven nights and less, the perfect amount of time to see the quality of experience and value for money that cruising has to offer.”
