Where to refuel rental car in Anchorage?

It depends on which way you are coming from, and how low you are. If you are a Costco member, that is frequently cheapest (although not always cheap enough to bother going out of the way for it), and there is one on each end of town. We also gas up at Fred Meyer or Carrs/Safeway (we have rewards club at both), and if we've accumulated several rewards at Safeway, that can really save money. Otherwise, the price of gas rarely differs more than a few cents from station to station, so isn't worth looking for the cheapest. Anchorage is small enough that unless you go a very round about way, your fuel gauge will still read full when you get to the airport, no matter where you gas up.

Without Safeway or Fred Meyer Rewards, assuming no more than a 20 gallon fill-up, the MOST you could save by finding the cheapest station is $2. Definitely not worth getting lost over, or wasting more gas trying to get to the station. So just gas up at whatever station you pass on the way.
