When to schedule and pay?

How far in advance should you schedule and pay for the tour?
It depends on when you'll be there and what tour you are going to do. In the summer it is low season, so you aren't likely to be shut out.

Do most tours (Mr. Sanchos) offer "No Port, No Pay"? :)
It's best to ask the individual tour operator to be certain of their policy regarding that. You should know that it is pretty unlikely that your ship will miss Cozumel. It just doesn't happen unless there is a hurricane.

I would think most of the private companys would give you a refund if you didn't make it to the port, but for sure ask..

And as far as how far in advance to book, that is totally up to you.. some places only allow so many quests, so check on that.
