hazy123 Posted April 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 29, 2009 Having read all the fabulous previous threads about calling Princess to buy onboard credit I have a couple of questions for those have successfully managed to do this: Is my credit card charged in Sterling? I assume it is or how do they guarantee the exchange rate? Do I receive any receipt from Princess once I buy the vouchers? Do I need to go to the Purser's desk and arrange for all our accounts for our cabin to be settle from the one credit card so that they are grouped against the one lot of Onboard Credit? Some people seem to have had problems with this. Thanks. Cruising first time with Princess June 09, always been with P&O before!
LegalEagle2012 Posted April 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2009 There was a post over the weekend from the OP who discovered this for UK cruisers and posted his experiences of how it worked onboard. He appeared to have had no problems. The amount is charged in Sterling to your Credit Card as a purchase - so no fees and the OBC is given as vouchers which are in your cabin as you arrive. I believe the OP said that the sum became live as soon as he had used his Ships Card to make his first purchase. K
