which has best snorkeling? cozumel, roatan, belize, or grand cayman?

we are doing a western caribbean cruise in december with carnival. i love to snorkel, but my dh is not so crazy about it. i'm guessing i might get in one day of snorkeling.

 

we'll be visiting grand cayman, roatan, belize, and cozumel on this trip, and i'm wondering what your opinion is on the best place for snorkeling. if i'm only going to get one snorkeling opportunity, i want it to be good! we are willing to do a boat tour, if that helps your recommendation. thanks!

I did the same ports in November and snorkeled in Belize and Roatan. Roatan was by FAR my favorite place ever. We went to Fins and Flippers, it was cheap and beautiful and practically deserted. Great time snorkeling right off the dock!

We did these same ports last summer (2008). Roatan was by far the best snorkeling. We went to Half Moon Bay, and on the right side of the bay (when facing water) there's a restaurant where you can eat lunch on a dock overlooking the water. Then 100 feet father from the restaurant there's a dock for easy entry into the water and great snorkeling right there. The father you swim out into the bay the better it got. It was amazing. The water was calm and only about 6 people in the water.
