To avoid replying to each post, I will try to summarize the answers in this post.

All excursions were booked spur of the moment, independent of the ship.

We did not eat any meals off ship.

We had plenty of time to do what we wanted in each port, but a little more port time is always welcome.

Alaska was awesome! Everyone should go and see it atleast once in their lives.

In regards to the room stewards, The NCL online post cruise survey offers the chance in a non confrontational format to address any areas were we felt service feel short.

Bring warm clothes and rain gear. It does get wet and chilly on deck and on shore. We had rain in Juneau and a few sprinkles at other times. It is chilly on deck when the sun is hiding behind the clouds.

There was no balcony, or lattitudes check in lines. Check in was smooth and efficient even without them.

We were in cabin 8059 and we were pleased with this location.

I will sharpen my pencil and write a little about our ports of call.

Cheers,
