Curacao vs Roatan for snorkeling

Could someone who has done snorkling at both islands give a comparison. Especially if you have snorkeled at Porto Marie in Curacao and Tabayana in Roatan. Thanks

We have been diving, not snorkeling, at Porto Marie, and also Roatan (west end). Porto Marie will for sure have good snorkeling and has a really nice beach as well. Roatan is one of our favorite dive locations, and I would expect good snorkeling just about anywhere as well. You might also try the Bay Islands forum on Scubaboard for info on Tabyana.

I have been to both(just got back from Roatan yesterday) and I feel Curacao is better then Roatan. We went with Curacao Actif and had our own tour, so maybe that made a difference. But do not get me wrong, Roatan was beauitful but did not see as much.

Rugrat where did you go in Roatan to snorkel? Was it Fins and Flipper or West bay beach

We went to Half Moon Bay.
