tulips*n*truffles Posted May 23, 2009 Author #28 Share Posted May 23, 2009 I understand that tipping is part of cruising and we absolutely expect to pay.We were relieved to see that the tipping is taken care of automatically,.I really dont understand why everyone is giving over and above unless the service was really excepional rather than just doing their job well-please don't everybody shout at me! The other deal here is that the auto-tips don't cover everyone. I'd be wrong if I listed who it does cover, but not all of the service you receive on a ship is covered by the auto-tip... jkmcmom Posted May 24, 2009 #29 Share Posted May 24, 2009 We made sure to use cash when we were in the spa as the spa employees are not covered by the auto-tip. We did tip the baggage porter who assisted us when we arrived at the pier. We were lucky when we found the same gentleman on our return to Seattle. So, we had great assistance with the bags.
