9th May 2009 IOS med cruise

Thanks for your information, hope you had a nice time:) Does it say on your cruise compasses what day the murder mystery dinner in portofinos was as it is on the wednesday on our departure which if the formal nights are the same would be the 2nd formal night.

Also what production show did you have and were there any parades and midnight buffets?

One last question we think we saw somewhere that there are two different ice shows, was that the case?

Thank you for your help

We were on the 25th April Med cruise on IOTS.

There were 2 different Ice Shows with 4 performances of each show over 2 days. There were 2 big productions shows in the theatre and the other evenings were single acts.

We had 3 events in the Royal Promenade - a Parade, a British night and Dancing in the Street.

Can't find anything in the Cruise Compasses about Murder/Mystery night. There was a midnight buffet one night. We didn't go to it as we were on 2nd sitting.

Our formal nights were Sunday, Thursday and Thursday.

Hope this helps

Gail

Hi

For Mediterranean Treasures (not the Italian one) the formal nights are Sunday, Wednesday and Monday.

There are two ice shows - Freeze Frame and Strings. Both excellent.

The entertainment was as follows:

Day 1 = Welcome Aboard with a balancing act and a comedian. Parade - Olympus Rocks.

Day 2 = Elton John tribute act

Day 3 = Production show "Once Upon a Time"

Day 4 = Izzy - A Soprano singer. Street party in the promenade - 70s style.

Day 5 = Production show "Invitation to Dance". Ice shows also today.

Day 6 = Mr & Mrs Gameshow. Ice shows.

Day 7 = The Grumbleweeds.

Day 8 = A night at the movies showing "Ghost Town" with Ricky Gervais. Parade - Mad Hatter's Ball. Later is Dancing over the Ice in Studio B plus a midnight buffet. (I suspect once the weather gets better the dancing and buffet will be on the pool deck)

Day 9 = Hilary O'Neil (female comedian and impersonator). Late show = The Quest (DO NOT MISS THIS:D)

Day 10 = Jamie Allen - comedian & magician. Ice shows today.

Day 11 = Production Show "Centre Stage". 80s Dance party. Ice shows.

Day 12 = Zeidwig - comedy pianist a bit like Victor Borge. Rock Britannia party in the promenade.

Day 13 = Soul Satisfaction - Motown tribute group. VERY GOOD. Ice shows. Graham Seymour's adult comedy show.

Day 14 = usual farewell show with singers/dancers and the crew.

They don't do the Murder Mystery on the British cruises. Shame as I really would have enjoyed that.

Hope this helps

Alison

WOW, Thanks for the info Alison really usefull, Its great to get an idea of when the parades etc are.

We have managed to pre-book the mystery dinner for our sailing I am wondering why they do not advertise it on board?? maybe it tends to be booked up before sailing.

Thanks again

Katie
