jan1403 Posted May 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2009 Was in Ocho Rios last week. Did a tour with Phil Lafayette who was recommended by others on CC. Started off at Dunns River Falls, followed by a stop for traditional Jamaican food (jerk chicken & pork). Then went on to River Tubing which was great fun. DH and myself were there on our own but our teenage daughters would have loved it.
darylsldy Posted May 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2009 We were in Ocho Rios in April. We booked our tour with Peat Taylor. It was Dunns River Falls which was great (except for the "vendors" at the exit) Very much worth dealing with them in my opinion to see the falls! We did the sightseeing tour up the mountain and it was a beautiful view. We were suppost to do the horse ride/swim next but the horses were still out from the previous ride. If we waited the 20 minutes or so there would be no shopping time and cutting it VERY close to boarding time. We decided to forgo the horse ride and go shopping. All in all, we had a great time. Peat's son was a great tour guide. We were disapointed that we couldn't do the horse ride but that's just how it was. I would tour with him again.
