Dress Code On P&O

Hi Seamates, the first friendly voice on here. Was considering a P&O this time as they have an itinerary we are interested in so just checking out the general vibe. Still undecided. Might have to buy a White/Ivory/Cream tux. But that would invite all those hoary old clichés about waiters, towels, saxophones et al. What do you think?

Incidentally, I don't 'stir things up' I simply stimulate considered debate.

Gari,

If you are going to buy a White/Ivory/Cream tux (what's a tux anyway?) make sure that it is vertical stripes. I'm told by those who know about such things that horizontal stripes will make you appear fat. So when did you start playing the saxophone?

I see the neverending Dress Code debate continues..

It's a shame as I've just looked at a cruise for next July on Ventura and the prices are ridiculously cheap, I can get a balcony cabin for the price of an inside one on OV..

As for Smart Casual.. who defines "trousers" - traditional formal or chinos/combats. What about tailored 3/4 length?

I personal think smart dark grey/black combat-type trousers (as I wear on my cruise, not from Asda but M&S ) are smarter then bright blue denim jeans..

No trainers but what about traditional deck shoes, rubber soled?
