Taxi Rate ?

I have a question concerning taxi rates.

We are currently considering a cruise that includes Barbados. My husband and I have been to Barbados before but our friend has not - so we want to do an island tour thing.

 

We would prefer to do this privately (just the 3 of us) and go to spots that interest us.

So - a couple of questions:

 

Is it better to try to arrange this in advance OR can we just get a taxi driver at the port and negotiate price and arrange the tour with with him to the spots WE want to see?

 

Any idea of the approximate cost of arranging this for 3 people for approx 6 hours?

You can do this privately once you exit the cruise terminal. You may get a better deal from the guys outside.

 

Not sure what it may cost...maybe like $30 US or so per person (but don't quote me on that) Make sure you agree on a price before he moves off.
