Spectrum Posted May 27, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 27, 2009 Having booked our Celebrity Solstice cruise late last year, our invoice included a fuel supplement for our cruise to the Eastern Med this July. We realised that having paid the full amount due to the travel agent, some 12 weeks before sailing, that we had each been charged a £27.50 fuel supplement. We have been promised a refund of on board credit from Celebrity. Has anyone received their on board credit or has anyone had a similar promise from their travel agent? As yet we have had no confirmetion of this in writing.
PAMJP Posted May 27, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 27, 2009 We booked our Constellation cruise March 2008 for the sailing we made on 2nd May, 2009. We also paid our fuel supplement and were told it would be refunded as on board credit. This was a verbal advice and I was also a bit concerned but have no fear, when we boarded and checked our on board account via the television next morning it was showing in dollars, of course. We paid £35 pp for this 14 day cruise and were credited with 51.70$ each, exchange rate was about 1.48 to the pound, so we were happy. Hope this helps
Shirley C Posted May 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted May 28, 2009 If it doesn't automatically show up after the first couple of days, just go down to Guest Relations, and they should be able to get you the credit.
