Snackdaddy Posted December 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 12, 2004 Greetings, The December 8, 2004, New York Times had a wonderful article entitled, "Island Delights: Pigtail Soup With the Chef." The article featured the roadside stand, Hilma's Windsor Castle, on the Dutch side, and Rosemary's in Marigot. Where exactly is Hilma's? I'd like to try her salt fish sandwich and an ice-cold Heineken. And where is Rosemary's? Her jerk chicken and ribs, snapper, fried fish and braised goat all sound wonderful. Thanks in advance. gtaylor Posted December 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Hilma's is in Simpson Bay, on the road to the airport. Look at this map. Hilma's is at about #21 or #22. I think that Rosemary's is in the same complex as our favorite place to stop for a beer in Marigot, Toro's Corner. Look at this map. It would be in the area labeled "Market Place", closest to the parking lot. p.s. Internet Explorer should let you enlarge the maps by clicking on the lower right corner. Snackdaddy Posted December 14, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted December 14, 2004 Hi gtaylor, Thank you so much for the information, especially the maps. It sounds like we'll able to stop by Rosemary's. We can't wait. Hmmmm, jerk chicken and ribs, snapper, fried fish or braised goat, decisions, decisions...
shecup Posted February 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2005 Snackdaddy... Please let me know if you went to Rosemary's. We will be there mid march and would love to find a place for some good fried fish (besides here in NY ;) ) Thanks, Tina
