Flipflopsnfrozendrinks Posted June 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2009 Has anyone done the kids program on Emerald (or similar)? We have experienced cruisers, ages 10 and 12 at the time of the sailing (looking at April 18, S. Carib), who love meeting new kids and spending time in the kids program. They have never sailed with a ship full of kids (the largest crowd was 23 kids), so few kids is not a problem. We have sailed Celebrity and RCI, and loved both programs. The one time we did Princess, the kids were not with us, so we did not really pay too much attention to the program. (We did not at that time know what an addiction we had developed...LOL) Thanks, Kim
Luxuriate Posted August 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2009 He loved it! Lots and lots of activities. New artwork to be brought back to the cabin every day. They are open full-time during port days and close during lunch break during sea days. A great experience.
Flipflopsnfrozendrinks Posted August 12, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted August 12, 2009 Thats great to hear! It really makes the trip so much better knopwint the kids are having a great time, and my DH and I get to have some private time during our family vacation. How were the demographics on the ship? We are 39 and 46, will we be amongst the youngest, or right in the middle? We like some nightlife, music and people. Celebrity was great but the ship was abandoned after second seating dinner. We felt alone on such a big ship. Although, we really got to know most of the night crew pretty well. Thanks, Kim
Punchie Posted August 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2009 Here is a link to a thread about the kids program on Princess: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1037551&highlight=kids There is also a link for another thread in that thread (specifically regarding the disection of squids). We'll be sailing on the Emerald in Oct, but b/c my daughter is 3, our review won't be of much help to you. :)
