Dive sites/shops in St. Thomas

Can anyone recommend a dive shop in St. Thomas? What dive sites are the best for beginning divers? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

While I have not been there (yet) - the scuba board I am a member of has high praise for this site: Red Hook Dive Center.

 

They said "they were an absolutely fantastic operation" and then praise them on their professionalism, safe consciousness & knowledgeable of the choice spots in the area for the given conditions.

 

They are on my list of places to sign up with when I get there. . .

I used them also in FEB 08 and wouldn't hesitate to use them again the boat capt was top notch and the DM did a great job.
