Inspiration First Timer

I am new to cruising and to these boards. I am graduating from nursing school at the end of the summer and to celebrate my husband and I decided on a cruise. We will be on the 8/1/09 Inspiration cruise to the Caymens and Cozumel. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the ship/rooms. We are book in an Oceanview stateroom on the Empress deck. Also any recent capers to get an idea of the activities on board. I am so excited....I have become addicted to these boards :) Any help or suggestions would be welcome!!!

I do not have any pictures but you will have a wonderful time. My now DH and I went when we were just dating and it was so much fun. It is a great ship.

 

PS when I graduated from nursing school I also took a cruise to celebrate, 6 girls and it was a blast.

Congratulations on a wonderful accomplishment!

First, you're gonna love the Inspiration! She was my first Carnival ship and I STILL love sailing on her!!

You picked a good ship and a great deck. The Empress deck is the deck you board the ship on. I like the Inspiration so much it is my new go to ship when I need a quick cruise now that the Celebration is gone. The ports you have are IMO 2 of carnival's best. Also the port of Tampa is a great port to cruise from Tampa airport is not far at all. The Inspiration will be the only ship in port that day so the line moves very fast. have a great cruise.

My son and I went on her last October and had a blast. In Grand Cayman we went just skiing and stingray city and Rum point beach and it was awesome! Good price for the time also (almost 3 hours for $149.00 for two). You are going to love the ship! We sail on her in 23 days again :D

I sailed last Feb just after the evolution of fun upgrade and it looked brand new then. Its even more a goto cruise for me (I live about 20 mins from the port) and I may go again within a year or two (after bills are paid:eek:)
