Upgrade to Family Suite

Just back from our first Princess Cruise to Alaska (wonderful trip). We had reserved an inside cabin for the kids (daughter 23, sons 9&10); husband and I had a balcony. Cabins were almost across from one another.

2 days before sailing we got a call on our cell phone (we were already in Alaska) that Princess was offering to upgrade us to the Family Suite (with ALL suite privileges). What fun this was. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with tub); living room w/2 couches and an extra large balcony.

Daughter and I loved trying out the suite previleges and we ordered chocolate dipped strawberries every night for free. Also, got free internet in the room & free laundry services (YES!!).

It was a fun cruise.....but I told the kids not to get used to it, LOL. We'll be back to inside cabin cruising soon enough. My daughter probably got one of the best upgrades ever (since she was originally reserved as a 3rd passenger in the cheapest inside cabin at $199 & ended up in a balcony suite).
