Charges for using S&S card in casino

Does anyone remember what the charges are for using your card in the casino as opposed to cash? I know RCCL doesn't charge anything extra so we always use the card with them but since Carnival does we always have to carry extra cash. It really isn't convenient to carry all that extra and if the charges aren't too much I will just use the card this time.

Thanks.

I assume you mean your Sign and Sail card (from which charges are applied to your credit card). If you use your Sign and Sail card on the tables or at the cage, they charge 3% surcharge. If you use the S & S card in the slots, there is no charge.

A way around the surcharge is to load some money onto your card, from your Sail and Sign account, at one of the slot machines, then cash it out at the cage and take the cash to the tables.

No charge if you use it in the slot machine but there is a 3% charge if you use it to get cash...not sure if you can use it at a table or not....

Yep,no charge to pull cash from a slot machine, but 3% charge if you get cash from the cage or table. The casino people will show you how to do it.

Hi,

I've been on Royal's Grandeur of the Seas & on our last 2 sailings. Both in Oct. '08 & April '09. They are now charging a 3% fee if any money is taken out in the casino & put through your sign & sail pass.

Happy Sailings.
