White Pass and Glacier Lake Kayak tour with RCI

Hi has anyone done this excursion with RCI? We will be on The Radiance in Skagway August 24 and the Glacier Lake Kayak & Scenic Railway tour has caught our eye. If anbody could give us feedback on it, we are trying to make a decision while the promo that ends tomorrow is still going on.

I'm not a big fan - the lake you paddle on is a sterile high-alpine lake ( http://www.explorenorth.com/bc/images/kayaks-bernard_lake-8292.html ). Though the mountains around it are very scenic, this paddle is nothing like you get on the rich waters of SE Alaska saltwater. Summer is also VERY short up there!
